Bella Vita

Bella Vita is a hard, longer aged cheese. Bella Vita was first developed in the summer of 2006 as an Italian-style cheese and is now being produced again in 2018 exclusively for Whole Foods Markets.  Bella Vita is a Parmesan-like, Asiago-like, Pecorino-like goat's milk cheese that is nutty, sharp, and slightly sweet. It has rocketed to fame by winning national and international acclaim, including a Super-Gold Medal win at the World Cheese Awards.

  • This lower-moisture, rustic cheese is aged for six to eight months before it leaves the Creamery, and it can continue maturing for up to a full year.  Bella Vita has sharp, nutty flavors and a distinct sweetness.

  • Bella Vita is FireFly Farms' longest-aged cheese. Crumble, grate or melt this cheese on pasta, pizza, or grilled veggies. Try pairing Bella Vita with a Chardonnay or a Pinot Grigio, and serve it with crackers and a sweet or savory tapenade on your next cheeseboard!
